MURPHYSBORO (WSIL) — Meet Clarabelle, a young mother of nine looking for a “Furever Home.”
“She came from a family in northern Arkansas. One of our rescue partners actually went and rescued her from a home that was like ‘now, you need to come get her and her nine babies now,'” says Christine Chance, Volunteer and Former Board Member at Wright-Way Rescue.
Chance says Clarabelle and her nine puppies will be up for adoption in the coming weeks. “She is great in big play groups and she’s just a lover. She loves her treats of course and just wants to be scratched behind the ears. She has a lot of ticklish spots that get her legs going. She’s just a love bug.”
Chance says Clarabelle hasn’t been tested with cats or young kids but she seems to be very easy going.
“She is sitting. She is just kind of chill. She’s sitting right at my feet. There’s a lot going on. We’ve got traffic behind us. We’ve got delivery companies and she’s just kind of taking it all in here. She’s not barking. She’s not super rambunctious. Right now she’s watching the lawnmower over there and is just happy to be with people.”
When adopted Clarabelle will be spayed, microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations.
“She worked really hard. Her puppies, they’re little chunks so she took great care of them. You can imagine nine of them just always wanting her attention. She’s just the best mama and now we just can’t wait for her to find that love and affection in return with her new family,” says Chance.
