PEORIA (WEEK) — A comic book convention returned to Peoria, after kicking off its 2021 tour at the Northwoods Mall this past March.
QuadCon made its second stop in the River City this year at the Peoria Civic Center Saturday. According to organizers, this stop was the largest pop culture convention in Central Illinois.
The event hosted a live auction benefitting Hannah’s Heart Foundation, as well as various panel discussions, card and video game tournaments and video game tournaments, a costume contest and special guests.
One of those special guests, former WWE wrestler Bishop Stevens, offered advice to fans stopping by.
“Don’t follow your dreams, make your dreams. That’s the problem,” Stevens said. “People always want to say follow your dreams. I ain’t trying to follow nothing. I’m [going to] make mine happen.”
Stevens was apart of over one hundred and twenty vendors and artists offering products ranging from $1 toys to one-of -a-kind first edition comics.
