Canton residents got out to enjoy the weather and some locally-made art at the Canton Fine Arts Festival Saturday.
The festival featured 31 local artists, including some students from around the area, showing off a variety of works, from paintings to photography, and sculptures.
Artists were thrilled to show off their creations after the event was called off last year due to the pandemic.
Plus, Canton high school track star Katie Goldring finally got to meet the artist who recreated a photo of her doing what she loves.
“I’m extremely honored that he chose me and I’m really humbled by it,” Goldring said. “I think this is amazing. I never expected to get so much attention for just doing something that I love.”
Artist John Bumgarner said the photo caught his attention because he enjoys sports and was captivated by Goldring’s talent.
