The 40th President of the United States was honored Friday as his alma mater prepares to help more people learn about his Central Illinois past.
Ronald Reagan attended Eureka College in Woodford County back in the late 20’s, graduating in 1932.
June 4 is the 17th anniversary of his death and, during that event the school announced a deal to get their Reagan collection of items out to a wider audience.
“And we are so proud that the Peoria Riverfront Museum is partnering with us, officially, with Eureka College to display some of those artifacts to have an exchange of artifacts that we may show at the Peoria Riverfront Museum as all of the students, as all of the people from around the world visit,” Jamel Wright, Eureka College President.
No timeframe yet on when those Reagan items can be viewed at the Peoria Riverfront Museum.
Eureka College dates back to 1855.
