PEORIA (WEEK) – The art community is ready to relight the match on expression.
Friday was the actual ‘First Friday’ of the summer for the Peoria Art Guild.
“We always have a donation jar out in case people want to support us but there is no cost. You do not have to be a member to come and visit us. So, no, uh, we just want people to come and connect.”
– Shannon Cox, Executive Director of Peoria Art Guild
Landscapes was the main theme Friday night, which also featured the work of 2 Bloomington artists, 1 Tremont artist, and 1 Peoria artist.
Prices for the various art displayed ranged from $400 to $5,000.
Around 100 people attended the event.
The Peoria Art Guild is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., or by appointment.
