PEKIN (WEEK) — The Pekin movie theater on Edgewater will be reopening on this Friday, June 4, as an AMC Entertainment establishment.
AMC CLASSIC Pekin 14 will be observing state and local guidelines on capacity, according to its press release announcing its opening day.
The state is currently in the Bridge Phase of the Restore Illinois plan, meaning theaters can operate at 60% capacity. Gov. JB Pritzker has said earlier this week the state is on target to reach Phase 5 of the plan by June 11, meaning there will be no capacity limits set on businesses or other organizations.
AMC said it is strongly suggesting its customers to use its contactless ticketing model, as it minimizes the amount of interactions, according to the press release.
Masks will not be required for customers who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Showing at the theater on its opening night include “A Quiet Place Part II,” “Cruella,” “Spiral: Saw,” “Spirit Untamed,” and “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It.”
