BLOOMINGTON (WEEK) — McLean County’s sheriff says he will not be seeking a third term in office.
Sheriff Jon Sandage made the announcement in a press release Tuesday, saying the decision came “after extensive thought and discussions with family.”
“I have had the honor of serving the citizens of McLean County for 30 years, the last 6 and a half as sheriff, in one of the best departments in the state of Illinois,” Sandage said.
Sandage was up for re-election in 2022.
