PEORIA (WEEK) — The Walgreens on the 2500 block of Knoxville in Peoria was evacuated and shut down Saturday morning after a one gallon container with unidentified liquid was found near the store’s entrance.
Since officials did not know what the liquid was or who left the container, the department’s hazardous materials team was called in. Those teams were able to seal the one gallon container in an eight gallon drum without incident.
A waste hauler was called in to remove and dispose of the container.
No one was injured in the incident.
