SPRINGFIELD (WEEK) — Late Friday night, Democrats passed new legislative redistricting maps, despite criticism from minority Republicans that the process was rushed.

After a lengthy debate about the redistricting process and the fight for “fair maps,” the Illinois House passes the General Assembly Redistricting Act of 2021 on a 71-45 vote. The bill now heads to @GovPritzker‘s desk. #twill

“After a lengthy debate about the redistricting process and the fight for ‘fair maps’, the Illinois House passes the General Assembly Redistricting Act of 2021 on a 71-45 vote. The bill now heads to Governor JB Pritzker’s desk.”
