PEORIA (WEEK) – Four more people have died from COVID-19-related illnesses in the region covering Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford Counties, local health department officials said Friday.
Meantime, the Tri-County region had 21 more confirmed and probable cases of the coronavirus, bringing the total to 45,412 since the start of the pandemic.
Health officials said two of the people who died were from Peoria County. They were a man in his 60s and another man in his 80s. Woodford County reported the other two deaths. They were a man in his 60s and a woman in her 90s.
The Tri-County death toll is now at 739, with 358 of them from Peoria County, 288 in Tazewell, and 93 in Woodford County.
Friday’s data also showed just 0.08% of those with the virus have been hospitalized, while 0.40% were isolating at home. The three counties have a 98% recovery rate.
