NFD: 18 units impacted, residents displaced from South Nashville apartment fire


NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Nashville Fire Department reports a South Nashville apartment fire has displaced residents and impacted at least 18 units.

Emergency crews were called to the Brentwood Oaks Apartments around 8:15 p.m. Monday night. Firefighters have called for more personnel to help manage the scene.

The fire destroyed the entire third floor of the building and most of the second floor. The American Red Cross was called to help assist residents.

Our personnel have taken a defensive stance to this fore because the structure has become unstable.

The apartment complex is located near Old Hickory Boulevard and Nipper’s Corner.  One viewer told News 2 smoke and flames could be seen from several miles away.
