PEORIA (WEEK) — Authorities say they have arrested four teenagers in Peoria for a Wednesday carjacking in the city’s West Bluff.
Peoria Police Department spokesperson Amy Dotson said the four were arrested after officers responded to the 1800 block of North Otley for an armed carjacking.
Two male suspects allegedly approached a female, pointed a gun at her and fled in the crossover-style car, Dotson said.
Officers located another stolen vehicle in the area of the carjacking that was also stolen and later determined it was a vehicle the suspects used prior theft. Witness information also indicated two other individuals were present in the other stolen vehicle before the theft.
During the investigation, officers located the stolen crossover in the 800 block of North Madison.
In that same block at the Shop N Save store, officers arrested the four teens, Dotson said.
One of those arrested was Styles Stuckey, 19, for aggravated vehicular hijacking, unlawful possession of a handgun, use of a stolen firearm and unlawful possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
Eighteen-year-old Antonio Monroe was arrested for possession of a stolen firearm, aggravated vehicular hijacking and use of a stolen firearm, as well as other offenses.
Dotson said two 14-year-old girls were also arrested for possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
Police are asking anyone with information on the incident to contact the PPD at 309-673-4521 or anonymously through CrimeStoppers at 309-673-9000.
