PEKIN (WEEK) — A man has been arrested for first-degree murder in connection to the death of a Pekin woman who died Monday night of an apparent gunshot wound.

The arrest stems from the Monday night incident in Pekin in the 1200 block of Summer Street when officers responded to the scene for a woman screaming for help.

The woman, 59-year-old Tracie Turnbow, was found unresponsive and transported to an area hospital where she later died of the gunshot wound.

On Wednesday, the Pekin Police Department arrested Kenneth Turnbow, 66, as a result of the investigation, according to a news release by the PPD.
