PEORIA (WEEK) — Now that the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is authorized for use in 12-15 year old kids, Peoria Public Schools is planning to host vaccine clinics.
A message from Dr. Sharon Desmoulin-Kherat on Friday says parents can set up an appointment through the district.
Parents should call (309) 495-8509. The line is open 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM Monday through Friday.
Parents must sign a consent form and send it to school with their child in order for them to get the vaccine.
Dr. Kherat told 25 News on Friday that over 100 PPS students ages 16 and up have already been vaccinated.
She says the district is working with UnityPoint Health Methodist to set up a plan to reach the younger teens.
