WASHINGTON (WEEK) — As restrictions on masks and gatherings become more relaxed across the state, the Five Points in Washington kicked off their summer concert series ‘Live at Five Points’ Friday night.

Country music singer and central Illinois native Nick Sizemore headlined the free event.

Tickets aren’t required, but Five Points is asking you to check in on Facebook to let them know how many people are coming.

There are a limited amount of tables, so you’re encouraged to bring your own chair.

“It feels great to have the community here. And have entertainment, and just feel normal again,” said Kaleigh Schmidt, Five Points Special Events Manager.

You can enjoy concerts all summer for free at the Five Points thanks to community sponsors. The next concert is May 28th at 5:30.
