PEORIA (WEEK) – On Tuesday, the Peoria City Council approved the creation of the City of Peoria Land Bank, along with a new Land Bank Board with open positions.
According to a press release, the land bank will operate as a division of the city of Peoria Community Development Department.
To oversee the work, a Land Bank Board will be comprised of elected leaders, city officials and community stakeholders.
The following board positions are open for the public:
A representative from the Real Estate Community who has an active Illinois real estate license.
Two neighborhood representatives.
All applicants must live in Peoria, and are encouraged to submit applications to the Mayor’s Office located at 419 Fulton Street, Peoria, Illinois, or by emailing email@example.com.
Evaluations will begin May 24.
