LONDON MILLS (WEEK) – On Tuesday, two vehicles crashed on Illinois Route 116 at 2nd Street in London Mills, Fulton County.
According to a preliminary investigation, at approximately 11:40 a.m. 55-year-old Ann Brooks from London Mills was traveling eastbound on Ill. 116 at the intersection with 2nd Street in London Mills, Fulton County. Meanwhile, 60-year-old Brett Mason from Lewistown was traveling eastbound behind Brooks in the same area.
Brooks signaled and attempted to complete a left turn northbound onto 2nd Street.
Mason attempted to pass and struck Brooks as she completed the turn.
Brooks was later transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. Her condition is unknown at of Tuesday night.
Mason was uninjured from the incident, and issued citations for Improper Passing as well as Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.
