A six-year-old boy was arrested by gunfire in an Ohio hotel room, authorities said.
Police in the Cleveland suburb of Brooklyn, Ohio say officers were dispatched after 7 am to Fairfield Inn and Suites over a report on the shooting.
Police said a woman told the hotel reception that someone shot her and the baby in her room and left about half an hour before.
Officers found the child with gunshot wounds and administered CPR until the city fire department arrived. Police said the 30-year-old woman and child were taken to Metro Health where the baby was pronounced dead. His name was not immediately revealed. The woman was treated and released.
Police said an arrest had been made and there was no threat to the public, but did not provide further details. An investigation by the Department and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is ongoing.
