A baby was hospitalized after a drive-by shooting in North Carolina, according to police.
The 8-month-old was shot at around 10 pm. Inside a house in Shelby.
“The mom says they were in bed together,” said Shelby Police Lieutenant Scott Champion. “She was holding the baby at the time of the shots being fired, and the baby was wounded.”
Police said the girl, who was shot in the lung, was airlifted to a children’s hospital in Charlotte.
The station reported that no suspicious information was immediately released.
